Dubai's Global Village unveils majestic 21-metre festive tree
The ceremony marks the start of Season 29 celebrations
Dubai's Global Village, the region’s top multicultural family destination, has officially launched its Festive Season with a spectacular tree lighting ceremony, marking the beginning of holiday cheer for visitors of all ages.
Standing tall at an impressive 21 metres, the Festive Tree serves as the centrepiece of this season’s celebrations.
The event, held over the weekend, featured a grand arrival by Santa and his trusted elves, who dazzled the crowd with a joyous stage performance.
Families and children gathered at the Celebration Walk to witness the lighting of the tree, beautifully adorned with shiny red stockings, candy canes, gift boxes, and elves in cultural attire, reflecting the park's global spirit.
Snow activities
The celebrations, running through Sunday, 5 January 2025, promise a season of joy, entertainment, and cultural experiences. Visitors can enjoy a mix of festive attractions, including new snow-themed activities for children at the Restaurant Plaza.
Families looking to capture holiday memories flocked to meet Santa and his helpers while revelling in snowfall, bubbles, and white confetti that set the perfect winter atmosphere.

Food enthusiasts can indulge in seasonal treats and international cuisine at 250+ dining outlets scattered across the destination. Popular spots like the Restaurant Plaza, Railway Market, Floating Market, Fiesta Street, and Happiness Street offer a diverse selection of festive flavours to suit every palate.

Global Village’s popularity continues to soar, drawing millions of visitors annually. Last season alone, 10 million guests experienced the park’s offerings. Season 29 is set to surpass expectations with 30 pavilions, showcasing 90+ cultures, 40,000 live shows, and over 200 rides and games at Carnaval.
Since its launch in 1997, Global Village has welcomed over 100 million guests, cementing its position as the region’s leading cultural and entertainment hub.
